Math Tutoring
Welcome! My name is Dr. Kempton Smith. I'm the "Wake Forest Math Tutor." I offer personalized math tutoring in Wake Forest and in the Wakefield area of North Raleigh.
Subjects that I tutor include algebra 1 and 2, geometry, advanced functions and modeling, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics. I also offer custom classes in preparation for the math sections of standardized tests including PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, TEAS, GED, GMAT, PRAXIS etc.
I offer private tutoring for middle school, high school, and college students, as well as for working adults. My specialty is helping students who are struggling with math and want to improve their grades and test scores in math.
I tutor at the Wake Forest Target store at US 1 and Rt 98. I also tutor at other locations for an additional fee to cover travel costs.

About Dr. Kempton Smith
I'm a retired math teacher with B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematical sciences. I taught statistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I also taught middle school math and am a substitute high school math teacher. I'm an experienced math tutor and enjoy working with students of all ages. I know mathematics and can teach it so that you can understand it.
I also worked for many years in the biopharmaceutical industry as a biostatistician.
